Kevin Pipe received S. B. (1999) and M. Eng. (1999) degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and a Ph.D. (2004) degree in Electrical Engineering, all from MIT. He joined the Mechanical Engineering faculty in 2004.
Recently he helped to develop a handheld thermoelectric cooling device that provides rapid, localized cryoanesthesia to the surface of the eye prior to an intravitreal injection.
