Massey TBI Grand Challenge Kick Off

The Massey TBI Grand Challenge is a powerful funding avenue for multidisciplinary critical care research teams. Made possible by a generous gift from the Joyce and Don Massey Family Foundation, the TBI Grand Challenge supports the development of diagnostic, device, therapeutic, or health IT solutions that address the initial ‘golden hours’ of care after severe traumatic brain injury.

This year, MCIRCC is thrilled to present our largest award amount to date: Up to $900,000 is available in 2021 to help teams take their ideas from research to impact. But achieving victory won’t be easy: The Grand Challenge process culminates in the “Wolverine Den”, where teams who make it through the first two rounds of judging will then pitch their research before an expert panel of neurointensivists, clinicians, entrepreneurs, business development and Department of Defense experts.

NOTE: To be considered for funding, you must attend the Grand Challenge Kick-off event.
