Dr. Venkatakrishna Rajajee attended medical school at the Madras Medical College in India and went on to do his residency in Neurology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York. He then completed Stroke Neurology and Neurological Critical Care fellowships at the UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles in 2005. He was in private practice as a General Medical/ Surgical Intensivist in India for 3 years prior to his return to the United States. Since January 2008, he has been a Neurointensivist at the University of Michigan and manages the care of critically ill patients in the Neuro-ICU. His primary research interests include critical care ultrasound and traumatic brain injury. He has published several articles on the use of invasive and noninvasive neuromonitoring following TBI.
