Andrew Shute is an US Navy veteran and nationally certified orthopedic technologist with seven years of field, clinical, and surgical experience in civilian and military medicine. He brings to the table a diverse background of clinical, laboratory, and biopharmaceutical industry experience, as well as a strong record of military leadership. Andrew graduated summa cum laude from Pepperdine University with a BS in biological science, as well as two and a half years of research experience in cellular and molecular biology and molecular and population genetics. He also served on a medical mission trip to a remote village in Fiji, where they performed ophthalmological and orthopedic surgical procedures and basic medical care for the surrounding community, and medical training for local medical personnel. More recently, he worked as a quality control analyst at Amgen HQ and as a senior orthopedic technologist at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Andrew is currently pursuing my medical education at University of Michigan Medical School, and his goal is to specialize in trauma and surgery.
