Dr. Neeraj Chaudhary’s training and board certification in General Surgery and Clinical Radiology from UK provided a robust foundation on which he has built on with his super specialized training in Neuro-Diagnostic Radiology (NDR) and Neuro-Interventional Radiology (NIR). Dr. Chaudhary has spent more than 15 years practicing NIR & NDR and has developed extensive experience in treatment of patients with neurovascular pathology. He believes non-invasive MRI marker development in patients with ICH can substantially improve our understanding of the pathomechanisms of neuronal injury and help optimally add prognostic value in the management of these patients. He has been actively involved in the Brain Edema and the Ischemic Preconditioning society meetings. He has specialized expertise in interpretation of neuroimaging and therapy of hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke. He also has expertise in the treatment of retinal and head & neck tumors with intra-arterial chemotherapy. He has been working with Prof G Xi & RF Keep for over 7 years and as PI has successfully completed an awarded R21 from NIH in ICH with at least 5 publications related to the field. He has also completed another awarded R21 from NIH, translating the understanding of phenomenon of ultra-early erythrolysis in ICH to humans by MRI. In the latter, Dr. Chaudhary has worked with Prof AS Pandey as multiple PI. He is involved in two on going RO1s as CoI studying the application of Histotripsy on tumors and ICH. He has achieved funding for R01 as PI to explore the MRI biomarker development for ICH prognostication starting funding Dec 2023 from NIH.
