Henry Jewell
After completing both a bachelor’s degree in marine geography from the University of Wales Cardiff and a masters’ degree in geography from George Washington University, Henry has over 12 years of experience in organizational management, strategic planning, and community engagement in non-profit and academic environments. Previously Henry was with the World Bank as a geospatial analyst where he was engaged in international policy dialogue and directed investment priorities through urbanization. Most recently, he was the Executive Director of Akvo Foundation, where he was responsible for leading a team to create increased efficiency and transparency to improve services for the management of water, sanitation, agriculture, health, energy, education and the environment for disadvantaged populations around the globe. As part of his role, he lead development efforts to procure millions of dollars in grants from multiple funding sources as well as developing contractual partnerships.
